When does Claude's usage limit reset?
Short answer: On paid plans, Claude has a session limit that resets every five hours and weekly limits that reset once a week. Everything you do in claude.ai, Claude Code and Claude Desktop counts toward the same limit (Anthropic).
- Open Settings > Usage to see where you are.
- Start new chats instead of continuing very long ones.
- Keep big reference files in a Project rather than re-uploading them.
- If you still run out, paid plans can buy usage credits (Anthropic).
